Triton has been his baby for a while.
After Roark sold the STV molds to Wally he worked with him for a while. Very smart guy from everything that I have heard-you should stop in and see what hes doing.

I have a copy of his old "Bass Boat Bible." Good read if dated...
My "Bible" ended up in a library in England I think. He was a Merc factory driver running with Reggie Fountain. He was involved with Triton, Stratos, and Hydrosports anmd probably more.

Earl Bentz was one of Carl Kiekafer's hand picked knights with likes of Bill Seebold, Reggie Fountian, I belive also Gary Garbrect, to the best of my memory ( and I may have mangled some spelling of names ). they were the dream team of the switch to V 6s versus inlines. saw him come to Jacksonville in about 76 in a big yellow and black modern tunnel and dominated. even knocking off the big GN's in the run what you brung race. later Mike Seebold made the rounds as we were pretty much were an outlaw race but Mercury wanted a presence, home town hero was Danny Chrichfield and soon the mod VP class organized, they all went on to leave their mark in manufacturing. that's all I got, fun out :iagree:
As far as true bass boat design, his have been among the fastest.
My 2000 tr19 with stock 175 efi would run 74.2 fully loaded.
Funny my current 1999 wouldn’t touch it. Clay
