What tires were you running at the track?
Looks like MT ET Street SS. Might have to go with the Street R yo get a better 60 foot.
Rob like's to run some of those small tire classes with the Nova every once in a while. It's got a MSD grid in it . The motor has 30* in it. 10* comes out with the first kit when he gets off the button ( big tire or small ) but I always had to take another 8 to 12 degrees out at the hit and ramp it in over time or RPM ( grid has both programs ) with the small or short side wall tire .
It also let me get the second kit on while it was building timing from the launch .
Sounds crazy , but it's always faster to have it wide open , the music playing and manipulate the timing , than it is to try and catch it after it's knocked the fillings out of your head ..:o
I would think you could go in on a two step , use a clutch switch to set a timing retard / boost control box in motion . A small CO2 bottle to control the plunger in the opening / closing of a boost valve set up , then all you have to do it set you numbers , concentrate on going down the groove and let the good times roll ..
A 50lb sand bag in the trunk would prob help .. :)
That old blue Buick Regal that I drove for Grumpy's Grill went 10.14-19 @ 127-129 all the time . Bracket car that worked good early , left on the bumper , 1000 it was out of breath . Still fun consistent car to drive. Earned me a spot on the team every year I drove it . Jerry sold it to Joe Magin with the furniture store up by you about a year before he passed .

Charlie you know all the stuff you just rattled off that would help? All that would require a motivated young guy that could or would actually work on his car. I am the guy that only occasionally gets motivated enough to take car out of the garage every once in awhile. Same with boat. Had it out once this year. Getting old should have came with a warning label 20 years in advance.
I thought when we had son's , we would have built in " trusted partners " for life .
Over 25 . They do like buzzards , only get close enough to see if there is still movement .. :(
New toys are great. I went out for breakfast about 3 weeks ago for some pancakes and bacon and came home with a brand new Shelby GT350 track pack. 526hp, 12 seconds at 120 mph in the quarter and thats supercharger free. But Nothing sounds as cool as this new VooDoo flat plane crank motor spinning at 8250 rpms with the exhaust in the open mode. Stay away from Bacon.

Ya want to race
I did get to the track about 3 weeks ago. Only change from last track night. Changed to 1050 injectors. Put a rear brace to stop wheel hop. Put injectors in because i had plans of having a 93 octane tune for the 3.10 15lb pulley that i have on car. For track outings i want to drop size on upper to a 2.95 17lb pulley. 17lb and 100 oct tune should be a 75 to 100 gain. Attachment 431507Attachment 431508 After sending to data logs to tuner last sat. He emailed revised tune and told me to send a couple more data logs before i change to 2.95 pulley and 100oct. The tweak to the tune felt like the largest HP gain from a tweak to tune and no other changes. Not sure what the change in timing and fuel was. Before i run any data logs. Motor shot out a couple mangled rods out both sides of the block. I guess i could go sit in the corner and pout. I have decided to go with glass is half full thinking. Going to go thru my way to many over used credit card collection. Find 2, or 3, and may take 6 of them to handle the cost of new block and a nice rotating assembly. Hopefully have a little faster and a lot stronger motor in my car. As my plans get off track often. It did sting a little when the tire truck delivered my 1 inch taller 305/45/18 drag radials the same afternoon. Following day ups delivered my 3.09 rear that i am going to put in place of current 2.62 rear. Also just had car cleaned and looking new again. Attachment 431509
Bummer.....It will live again. Better, faster, stronger. U know the old saying, gotta pay to play.
