I need to talk to ya sometime about an RC boat problem. I picked up a 54" V hull with an 11CC K&B Nitro motor from my tool man (just add it on my bill, :D ) which promptly locked up after running (well, not really running, more like winding out and then shutting down) for about 15 or 20 seconds total. I'm trying to decide if I should fix or replace the K&B, or go to a regular gas motor. The boat supposedly did about 70 with the K&B, but I think I'd be happy with 45~50 and longer runtimes and durability with a gas motor (pull start ?). What's the best weedeater type motor? I'd like one that is capable of being modded for more power if need be, and won't cost a fortune to buy or replace. I'm at the shop every night after 6 if you wanna call, or if you send me your number, I will call you. :cool:
