I just got in this 2012 24 Checkmate Pulsare Long Deck. Mercury 300XS with 195 hours. 124 are at idle! I rigged and sold this boat new in 2012. Looks like new stil. Not a scratch. JEEZ Randy- you sold the same boat twice in less than 3 days total. I bet you wish you had a dozen of them!

I had another guy call this morning and wanted to know how to pay and set up shipping, but that's not who bought it.

I sold this boat the first day it was for sale in April. I had 3 people wanting it, but sold it to my sister and her boyfriend. They kept it stored inside. Still like new. Well anyway, they split up so she has no way of towing it so she wants me to sell it for her. The boat is absolutely perfect. Kept inside since I sold it new in 2012. She just spent $3200 making the trailer like new. Brakes, mag wheels, tires, and everything else. Price is $45,900. Randy, what are you seeing for speeds with the 300XS? The best I've seen on my 2400 Bowrider with a Verardo 300 Pro, 8" jackplate and Bravo One 24 is 72mph?

Closed bow runs 76-78 running light. BRX runs 71-73. I had one BRX run 74.8. All with 300xs. You need more setback.

Randy, do you feel you could get more speed with a 300R?

Probably. Anything I've put a 300R on has been faster

I think more setback would not help. The Verado 300 Pro has at least 4" built into the clamp. With my 8" Atlas Jackplate, I'm at 12"..

Well, the difference on a 24 closed bow is 4 mph. 12" runs 73, and 18-19" runs 76-78. I ran both setbacks on two different 24's and it was the same.
