Virtually any ECU engine can be read.
You can read, check and adjust a couple of things with an 843 box...but not run time like a Motorola box. At least I have never been able to.
Stock box rpm range on most should be 6500-6750 but I have had some higher 7000.
Promax's were only made and sold as a complete motor 1995-2000 some were sold as 2001 but were leftover. There were some power heads/motors floating around with early 2000's stamping but those were warranty replacements.
Thanks guys. Trying to sell a Bullet 20XD with a 225 promax. Folks have asked about hours on motor. Wasn't sure if I could get a readout. I'll take a look to see if it's a Motorola ecu. Tks.
Tony X2:iagree: Danger you do not have a Motorola box yours is a non recording ECU.I have a DDT which is a Digital Diagnostic Terminal and i can check all sorts of things with it(even if its a not what they claim it ID's them) but not run time or other things that occurred in the history of this motor you can however do all sorts of things with the hot rod ECU 's with they right harness's or connectors but these are nothing like the potted ecu's from consumer motors. i really wish they did but like Tony ive never heard of it and i have used mine for many years ,with the right chip i can also work on 3.0 motors and inboards which i never worked on. Also there are many people around trying to sell old analog ecu's claiming they are promax because they have A17 written on back of ecu with a paint stick marker which just aint so, believe me this old man has bought so many bad ECU's im embarrassed to admit it i own a 20xrd with a trick pmax i built on it i would not sell mine even after 24 years of ownership i bought it new .
