Its entirely up to you. Yes I recommend it. DFL does two things. (1) Its a Dry Lubricant that prevents gauling/scuffing should you experience a lean condition. (2) It provides a 1500 deg thermal barrier to the piston skirts. The thermal barrier properties prevent heat from transferring to areas its not needed. This in turn helps increase HP. I redo Piston skirts all the time for my customers. Most also have the Tops done in 1800 deg ceramic to better enhance the Combustion and lessen heat transfer.
