E tech 115 block Interchangeability with optical 90 johnson

hi,
i have a 2006 e tech 115 which has blown a piston, i am planning on rebuilding it and have an "99" optical 90 johnson, although the whole carbs, optical ignition, pistons and heads are different both blocks and ports look very similar, am thinking they are both the 1.8ltr? does anyone know if they are actually the same before i tear down 2 engines to find out?? if no one is sure i will post results after i have them dis assembled, thanks

Crank and rods are similar and can be interchanged, nothing else is the same.
