Nice coins!
I sold the double eagle's I had over the last several years. Hated to sell them but the price was too good to pass. All I have now is a proof set from my birth year and a 1888 Morgan silver dollar I won, when I was a kid, at a coin show my dad took us to.
My dad had a nice collection but when he passed we sold everything and divided the money between the family members.
I do have a small guitar collection though. Hopefully they will gain or at least hold their value. So far some have gained and the rest are holding.
This is the "double eagle" of my guitars. It's a 1974 20th Anniversary Gibson Les Paul Custom. It's actually worth more than a Double Eagle.

The oddest one I have is this 40th Anniversary Fender Stratocaster. The body is made of aluminum and is hollow.

I saved pre 1982 copper ......still keep my eyes open for them. The old large cents show how the money has gotten worthless......they are as big as a .... quarter. Look up the Federal war on gold.... on YOU tube ..... tells how we got here ..... very good video.

Own precious items. But, none with a serial number. It's only valuable if it can't be taken away from you by someone that knows what is "best for you" like our govt did once. They took citizens gold and gave paper. What is more valuable now? Who made the profit from this forced transaction?
