This Sutphen is a great boat, very nice control in the chop and cuts through the waves surprising well for its size due to the deep Vee hull design . I have a few props to go with the boat as well , one I used for water skiing which pulls and holds a line very well and the other is a go fast prop and will push the boat around 70 to 72MPH. The only thing that isn’t working on the boat however is the trim indicator gauge, the sensors stopped working on the motor at the beginning of last year. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
Thank You, Dan

That looks like an early 90s v6.... 275??? I've never heard or seen one of those. Am I in the dark here or?
-
Yes, that is a 3.4 Merc V6 they came in 300/275/250 hp models....
-
How many years mercury made 3.4 ???
-
Not sure of exact numbers? But it was a short run, mid '80's to early '90's...

Asking price Dan?
For anyone looking at this boat I had a 17' Sport Pacer with a 175 OMC for many years and it was the most fun boat I ever had. I set it up with a ski pylon just like Dan's, a negative 3 degree 4" transom wedge, and a raker prop. It would easily pull with any of the inboards in my ski club. My buddies regularly ran short line behind it and it would corner well enough that we were able to do boat-Os (ski around the boat). This is a rugged and fabulous all around ride!

How does it drive at 70 with no setback? Do you have to be really on top of the chine walk? Do you know the dead rise on it?
