good to see you eating good food.
My wife asked about Megan out of the blue today and was very pleased to see that vid and here about the improvements made. Wishing you guys continued gains ahead
Megan is slowly getting her appetite back since the removal of her feeding tube. Now if she would just remember how to hold a spoon. Seriously we see improvement in her every day. Hoping for full recovery some where down the road. Thanks everyone.Attachment 431286
Great news!
Looks like tasty cake
Well another little up date. Megan is doing better every day, while progress seems slow to us, people who have not seen her as regularly as us notice huge improvements. She has had cramps in her hands and feet since she came out of her coma. Nights we would spend hours massaging her feet and making her squeeze her therapy ball in hopes she could work them out. At her neurologist the other day he said he was adding some magnesium to her meds and after three doses all the cramping is gone. Little thing but huge in a way.
Other fantastic news was after newspaper article we were contacted by Helicopter company asking for permission to speak to newspaper and permission to deal with our insurance company. The results was outstanding to say the least.

:) Theres lots of good people in the world, this thread continues to prove that
Well another little up date. In 2011 I retired from Law Enforcement and went to work seasonably for my good friends the Fullers. I would work April to November than spend the winter in Stuart Florida where we have a condo on the south fork of the St Lucie River. Well than this happened to my Megan and turned everything around. Originally we were gonna start unloading things not as important to us as our daughter, winter home, boats, cars whatever, its just stuff and the kids are more important however through the grace of God so far we have been able to stay afloat so her rehap thought it would be good for Megan to take some time off from cold wintery New Jersey and spend some time in Florida as long as she kept up with her speech practice, occupational therapy and exercise. So here she is. Her and her mom are gonna spend some time here and I am headed back to the great white north to start the season at Fullers. So here is a little shot of us in the pool and of course dinner out with our dear friends Debbie and Chaz at Flanagins. Every day a little better. Headed up to Kennedy Space Center tomorrow for the tour. Thanks all for your well wishes and prayers as she continues to make progress.

A tragedy in life sure does bring out the REAL YOU, and who you are and why you are here in life as its DOES have a reason. Some times we wonder just why here. I've had moments in life when another unknown needed help, and just happened to be at right spot, right time me going fast 68 years knuckle dragging life. Two events still stand out in my mind a person having a seizure. First when out service, top floor apartment me, girls below me call me as brother having a seizure! Ran down there and turning blue and swallowed tongue. Pried open his jaws, told on the girls take my wallet (biker wallet on a chain, and STILL HAVE AND USED!) and shoved in mouth between jaws and hold the tongue out, and 911.
Then a few years later, got married, and road trip to Cocoa Beach. So at the pool, and what happens? 3 year old kid having seizure, mom screaming. Had my (yep same) wallet in my cutoffs by the wife, and ..well, here we go again!
I could go on with decades of "I remember when", but we all start out a know it all, got life figured out so "I got this"..yeah, right.
I was, but when in Vietnam at 19 I learned FAST, "whats it all about".........ya gotta be a little humble, and carry it in my heart every day..
And this year was my turn as almost lost my foot as clot in the leg stopped blood flow. Getting better daily and a $25,000 new "body jewelry" just can't see it........
You characters here S+F are sure a special breed of idiots, until the "SHTF" fan and ? HA! Rock on...

Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, Neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. 2 Samuel 7:22
Great to hear she is doing well and that insurance nightmare is behind you all, continue to keep you all in our prayers...
Ok so another little update. Megan is home from her short vacation at our place in Stuart, Fl. While there she got lots of exercise and walking in the pool. It has done a lot for her mobility. Just a short month ago she could not do stairs. Now she is chasing her dog around our back yard. Process is on going and moving forward. Back to Neuro Hehab next week. Thank you to all for your thoughts and well wishes.
