My Thank You to you all

Hi Everyone,

Some of you may know already that I have been devoting most of my time to my mom's medical care, and that has required increasing demands on me physically, mentally, and financially. A number of site updates and items such as T-shirts that I know many of you are waiting on, have had to be temporarily put on hold while I work through this difficult time.

I wanted to make this post without creating a big wall of text, so I won't write a novel about it, but the important point I wanted to communicate to you all is how grateful I am for your support as this site has passed its 20th anniversary.

I don't have as much time at a computer now so I have been trying to manage as best I can on mobile devices, so if there are any pressing issues, please call or text me at 239-297-4264 anytime. My email is always swamped with messages and getting through it on a phone is just not easy.

I just wanted to ad: we lost a month of Google ad revenue, due to the repeated violations of a few people here, who I begged to stop the immature nonsense. That will hurt me now more than ever. Those of you that created that pain should feel proud. Get a little giggle in for it, right behind your keyboard. Go on, you earned it.

This site is registered with Google as a 13-and-over site, and they take that very seriously, as do I. When their search picks up posts that contain content contrary to that classification, they will not serve ads.

If anybody here posts something purposely to antagonize others, please ignore it. And report it.

maybe a 3 strike rule can be implemented and people get the boot? I think we all appreciate your efforts Greg, but if there are people here that are damaging this site, I say boot them! It is not worth risk of further actions from some that may damage this site and the rev needed to operate the site.

20 years... Damn.

20 years is pretty cool. Still my favorite site, despite all the nonsense. I have said this before, one of the car sites I frequent is ruthless about deleting/banning personal attacks and political stuff (which are somehow linked). Works for me.

Because of this site I got back into fast boats which was my love as a kid up into my teens. I heard about the Radical Boat Reunions that Rus use to post on here, I built a Laser Ltv signed up and have never left. Thanks Greg.

20 years is a good record. I've gained a lot from this site. Thank you everybody for sharing their thoughts. Also got back into the fast boats. Thanks guys

My condolences about your mom. I lost my mom back in 2013 and I still miss her.

Mine passed in 2007. Keep the faith my friend. Every "one more day" will matter to you some day down the road.

Hope things go as planned with your family/god runs that ship called life/congrates on the 20yrs.-that’s impressive-and the site has helped me out a lot at times/there’s knowledgeable people on here big time when when it compes to repairs and upgrades.

Is the 20 years including the V Bulletin days?

The Hydrostream forum led me to

Scream and Fly and was the main reason I've wasting to much time on the Internet ...

So I'm holding you personally responsible ;)

Oh yeah, the old and very first S&F site that was on Angelfire, which was a free web hosting service. That was the first time I ever made a website, and it was extremely crude. I remember updating changes using my Dell 400 MHz Pentium II machine over a dial-up connection. :D

Well that depends, I love old computers; I grew up using an Atari 800XL. Much simpler times :)

I love this site ! This is the reason I got into these types of boats , bought a place by the Suwannee and been having great BBQ's and parties with so many friends ! It's been 17 years now and the people I have met and the places I have been boating in the state and others are irreplaceable ! Thanks Greg and all contributors ! Sure hope your mom is doing ok .

Been here since the Angelfire and Hydrostream BBS days, on board with the Virus! I don't spend half the time on here that I used to though. I had it open all day long on my desk at work back then. I could not get enough!!!
