tunnel or cat type hull for bass boat?

Anyone seen a full blown tunnel with a fishing deck? I am not good with the terminology and differences between a tunnel hull, catamaran, hydro type hulls so I may not searched hard enough or just looked right over something and missed it.

I have been sitting here alone while Angie is a couple hours away at a color guard competition with her daughters. Frank (our dog) and I have been doing some chatting while watching some STVs and Mirages making some high speed passes and he wanted to know if anyone made one with a fishing deck in the 20-22' length. The thing that always seems to stick with me about STVs and Mirages, along with the other tunnel type hulls that I am not familiar with, is how stable they seem to be. Seems a 21-22' tunnel hull with a fishing deck any professional bass fisherman would be proud to own should be way more stable than a V-hull of equal length.

tunnel boats are to noisy to catch fish. you would not believe the noise even the smallest ripples can make when a cat or tunnel is anchored.

I think tunnels would be way harder to maneuver in a stump field. Very cool looking, and very stable.

Slimm ole buddy there are a small handful of boats out there that "fit" what you are speaking of. Of course the first one that comes to my mind is the Laser LTV. Then there is the LCB's and so on. The drawback to the tunnels or cats is when you really get into bass territory....stump infested water...you have a maneuverability problem. It's real easy to get a stump in between the sponsons n get hung up. I use to fish outta a LTV Laser with a buddy of mine. Out ran everyone else in the club but stayed hung up in the shallow stumps.

Thanks for the responses, I didn't think about the stumps and rocks hanging me up. I do tend to get into some tight spots, hell I take my Cobra places where I used to take my 14' flat bottom Jon Boat. I get very focused when fishing and I'm not skeered to bump a stickup or outcropping to get back where the fat ones are hiding.

I got a stump under my tunnel creeping up a creek off the suwanee river and could not get off the damn thing. This was me trying to paddle off it with a swim fin and we just went in circles LOL.

I've been there a time or two with my v-bottom. As aggrevating as it can be in a V-bottom I bet is really rough in a tunnel. At least with a fishing boat you can hit the trolling motor on high and wiggle around to come off, looks like you were at the mercy of the stump and maybe time. ..waiting for the stump to rot more so you can get away!
