My girlfriend is wanting to visit Destin for vacation next month. I am hoping someone on here lives there or close and has an inside scoop on places to stay. We are looking for something nice and if I lived in a perfect world I would be able to bring my boat and hit the water while the girls do their beach/shopping thing. I know I know, no such thing as Santa or the Easter Bunny but a guy can have dreams cant he?!?!?
Seriously though, anyone able to offer any suggestions?

Destin = saltwater unless willing to travel. There are some good flats where you could string out early in the mornings. Reds and Speks are hitting OK if into fishing.
Oh, Crab Island should be killer (great time) but the ride back might get rough depending on where you put in.

My nephew moved there late last year from SoCal! Got friends in Santa Rosa Beach too!
Went there for Spring Break this year....it's a boaters town....we stayed at the Hilton Sandestin....nice place!
I have been going there every year of my life for 42 years. Can't imagine going anywhere else and we take the boats down Memorial day weekend and spend most of the time on crab island.. They don't do a lot of boating around there ... LOL Check out Sand Piper Cove, They are at the end of the harbor and have boat slips. Once we drop it in we don't even use the cars anymore. We would be the Alabama flag sticking up in the upper right
