I think they were originally from Crestwood. Yyep on the Pontoons boats..Indiana lakes ..they just drifted..new place to drink beer..ZERO..high HP, and LOUD!
Kid, I never meet Phil, but what ya say, seems we lost, early.."a good one'
Just found out a friend mine back that way, finally told me his 54 years old sister, after all the "stuff' ..the truth, what happened.
Died April 28th..out the backyard..playing with a grandkid. A massive headache hit..doc, then a chooper ride,. a big Hosp.
Died within 24 hours, brain aneurysm popped..flooded her head with blood.
Sad..good kid..(live today..one never knows, "just when"...

how did we forget about the Temptations :confused:!!! great song....to all of YOU, GREAT MUSIC POSTED!!!!! I only made it through 2 pages (on my IPOD) out of the 15 printed but let me tell you how AWESOME it is to listen to these songs in my car!!!!! I don't want to get OUT of it!!!!!

Just been cruising through these and saw one I missed that Waterwings had posted...

MOTHERS FINEST!

Just spent an enjoyable 2 hours listening to everything I could find on youtube from MF....Baby Jean and Wyzard (probably the best funk bass guitarist in history!)

When I was about 14 a friend and I snuck in a Miami night club called "The Place". Girls dancing in cages hung from the ceiling and Mothers Finest rockin the walls down. Baby Jean, all 4 ft. nuthin' of her with a blonde afro wig was wailin like I had never heard ANYBODY wail.

THE most underrated and ignored force of nature in funk rock. Too black for white radio, too white for black radio but MAN could they ROCK yer SOUL!
