Not sure about coring 1979 but David Burgess built one of the best fiberglass monohulls.
Not sure if this is a Burgess or not, but won Rouen 24 Hours 1979.

All of those models still running in the UK
Bristol seemed to be the last developed design.
Check the strakes, designed more for hanging on in a turn that lift
165 Renato Molinari Tecnocar Filtri F1 V8 - OZ class in Brodenbach, Germany 1981.
This was the first ever F1-V8 race.
Six boats was rigged with the new powerful V8 3.5 liter engine from OMC.
The rest of the entry's used the V6..(mainly OMC)
YES..I was there racing the UIM OE/F3 class.
