If anyone cares, that boat was owned by the Kiekhaefer Corporation and was a playtoy for Fred Kiekhaefer. Fred has signed the Lake X decal on the dash. When I restored the boat and trailer, I found the Kiekhaefer asset tags on the boat and trailer and have cleaned and reinstalled them also. Chased up to Canada for the numbers matching 650XS, and it now has Merc race trim also. I like to think those tabs on the transom were the forerunners of Fred's K-Planes. On trailer shot was taken at the Tomahawk WI AOMCI event - results of boating up there are shown in the following photo.Attachment 432292Quote:
