The last straw for Carl Kiekhaefer on his decision to halt his involvement with auto racing, was that he was told he could no longer advertise his outboards on his teams race cars as "Mercury"outboards, but only as "Kiekhaefer" outboards...due to "Mercury" Ford car product confusion the fans might have.
