...Surprised all this wasn't apparent before finishing the final tooling.

Thanks --- guess the info was at least half correct.
I saw my first four 400R's today on the back of a big (40'?) Nortech cat. 35" five blade cleavers. How fast would this go?
I seen all them 134+ mph 400r cats today .
Does anyone think that any of em will be able to out run the 118 mph NCO2S2 28' Skater with stock 300x motor's on it tomorrow ... :smiletest:

Lol...

Im curious why the DW 36 with 400's ran slower today at the LOTO Shootout with the tuned computers over yesterdays runs with stock ECU's?
I'll bet the guy who spent $1200 - $1500 to get those results has the same curiosity .. ;)
Heck, the canopied DW 32 with 300s ran 119....
32' Race boat is lighter but the stock tune on 400r does not allow the motor to make full boost right away. 3/4 mile run for those boats not good. They really a few miles to string it out. I would say some tunes not very good and some may be legit. MTI obviously had a good one. They picked up 6mph or so. Oh do you know Mike Griffiths from Mercury Racing now works for them!
Completely grasp that the race hull is lighter...but 200 more HP on hand and no major leap in MPH?
Is the map on the 400s limiting how quickly they let the things come up? I would think a supercharged motor would have better throttle response than say something that has to spool up.
That's a good runnin boat . They won an S - class race 1st or second time out of the box with that hull ..

I knew I should have sent Beef~n~Baja up with my 4 lb Garland split head rawhide hammer .. they'd a found a trailer hitch ball and been in the buizness of gettin the lazyazz out of them wheels .. ;)
Real blower belts have teeth on them .. them things have ribs  But I'm still going to say it as : If you could put 1 or 2 teeth on the driven cog , it would turn the woodchipper faster from idle on up building a corresponding amount of boost along the way .
DubbleRR is correct , by changing just the ECM all they can really do where the factory opens the blow off valve to limit pressure , they prolong it a few psi .
And with tight wheels , some might not have even reached the rpm range where it would come into play . Even in 3/4 of a mile .. sad :nonod:
While others ... might reach that point of extended RPM ...
Well the short answer is a little logging with one of these will separate the dyno derived from the copy / paste ... ahhmmm maps

Hi Chaz
What is the wire on the adapter plate's exhaust measuring?
And what reaction would the fuel-air-mix do, if any?
