The Renato Molinari that I knew was self-contained and business (racing & boat building) motivated. He kept people at a distant, and when it suited him, he would feign not knowing the English language very good around certain people. 1976 the fastest men on the race track were Britons. In 1976 Formula One Champions were
James Hunt and Barry Sheene. But on water that year, a racer from another country was the champion.
I just watched a documentary on James and Barry, and the video was filled with a lot of interviews. Race footage and interviews with the driver’s family members, team members and beat writers. The title: Barry Sheene & James Hunt When playboys ruled the world. In the doc, we become aware one of the guys is very likable and the other can be ... plus all other issues on and off the race track.
Will F1 boat racing ever have comprehensive video documentaries, which are common for other sports?
