89 is a very respectable number.
beautiful boat, you'll get there, thanks for the update
My shadow is an 84. I did a complete resto on it about 5 years ago. Had a 225, then a 250 and have had the 300x now for 2 seasons. My case has 1.62's so i am having some trouble spinning my larger props to the limiter. I really need to swap gears and bring myself up about another 600 or so rpm. I have not done much testing, that number was the first time i really strung it out all season. Hopefully when the weather and water cools down in the next few weeks i can find some time to go out and try a few props
Fuel tank is 50 gallons
one prop, one or two times
Dirk himself drove that boat he can tell you the speed he ran and what prop was needed
I was in the boat after we fueled up and seen with my own eyes 92 might have been 94 I cant remember the exact number but I know it was one of those. That night John and I fueled the boat up, topped off the oil, ran it got that number and the stupid bicycle cable that the in-control foot pedal uses snapped and we had to idle all the way home. It wasnt even like he went out to set a big number either we were going to get something to eat. we even damaged the $1200 prop he had put on that night. So full fuel with 2 men on board- Pretty realistic to say it was a low 90's boat everyday. John also did not push the boat hard everyday and had a tendency to back down they are not easy boats to drive.
When David bought the boat he didnt care about the speed he just fell in love with the boat itself and basically paid cash on the spot for it. At that point there was no reason to lie to him he bought the boat already.
I could care less if the boat ran 80 or 100, just telling you what I witnessed when I was in the ( heavy ) boat
Im sure dirk would be happy to weight the P22 we did shave a bit of weight from it.
That is one of the 4 p22s that I know goes over 90. And if you read the for sale post of that mint 21 goast said that it ran 86 with the Yami and 94 with the x. So we're talking 6-10 mph on any givin aplication. Again nothing against yamis but the proof is there -6-10 not exactly big. Reliable yea. Big no
Got The 32 BBlades, finally something over 30 the 1st shot I get at the weather I go, Ill take the hand held gps, and I fixed the recall on the speedo, so at least Ill post that
I know, this is the reference height I ran Sunday
Joe, Download any of the free Speedometer apps on your phone and either leave it in your pocket or on the passenger seat it will record your max speed too.
