The black & white photo of Cees eventual flip is a Brian Dewey photo. I remember Brian and I talking about the first corner and first lap, before the start of the race. I mention you better be prepared, I knew it was going to be exciting, but I did not envision the poor circumstance for Cees vander Veldon.
Have to disagree with you on that one ROY———— it is the bottom floor of the Torriggia workshop!
Engine on the big odd boat in the foreground is an original Silo. They were all binned long before that. They were floating about in 1969———— in 1970 the Cowbell was running strong in 1973 they were running Vee Sixes!
We all thought it was „Andre Dierx who was the first to fly, but later footage showed it to be Bobby Herring!

This inside shot of the Mercury - Renato shop in Como Italy, is also a Brian Dewey photo. This is the bottom floor, where the rigging was done. Both these black & white Dewey photos were taken in 1973.
