Over my 20+ years of boat racing I got to know all the "big wheels" in the business..
I drove for Team Renato Molinari and Cees Van Der Velden.
Owned and purchased boats from Burgess, Clerici, Molinari, Schulze and others.
Billy Seebold is the only one I never did any business with but in my opinion Mr. Bill is probably the greatest of them all.
There is no one friendlier and a better spokesperson for the sport than Mr. Bill.
I did met Mr. Bill in the early seventies over in Europe the first time. We became friends and I love the man..

At River Race Augusta, I think in 2006 or 07 when they tried to bring that race back, I had a good talk with Mr. Bill. I shared my opinion that what hurt the sport was lack of brand warfare. Every motor sport is rooted in brand warfare. He agreed completely. What is interesting is the very next year John Schubert campaigned a Johnson powered Seebold in champ boat.

we can only wish for the good old days of the factory competition as you say Lars and everybody pretty much agrees with you. It’ll be wonderful to see multi factory competition yeah Yamaha Honda Suzuki all of them could give mercury a run for their money. It wouldn’t be a cheap thing And it would probably take a lot of factory RND on their part to compete in the current tunnel classes but it could be done. Best Amber Jack
Never happen, but it would scare Mercury to death if Ferrari decided to build an F1 boat motor. After all the sport is going four stroke.
