"The Crew referred to this engine as a 727 which was a reference to the project development number. It was also known as the “Tractor” motor referring to it’s stump pulling ability. It did not like RPM’s."

That was the only time in his life he EVER looked like that—combed hair AND a collar and tie—was a photo shoot that OMC organised after they paid Chris a big bag of gold to build and organise a THREE boat team — Bob Spalding—-Tom Percival and Bertil Wick. Bob and Tom were steady reliable drivers —- Bertil was prone to driving over his head at times.
Well..to be correct..it was a OMC/Hodges two boat team 1985..#11 Bob Spalding & #12 Bertil Wik. (Tom Percival was not with us 1985)
BTW..Bertil Wik won the Antwerpen, Belgium F1-V8 race 1985.

I think this race is the 1978 Paris 6 hr race.In the 1977 Paris 6 hr race OMC had a brand new fleet of Molinari 18ft marathon boats 8 or maybe 9 Ron Anderson was there at Brugge along with Fred Hauenstine they were swopping all the crossflow 2.5 engine carbs for the Bendix injection systems all the outfits were having the 2 large heavy duty batteries swopped for lightweight dry cell batteries OMC wouldnt allow Fred Hauenstine to race as a factory driver so he had to enter as a private entry and buy his own Molinari and he had to take his time off to race as his vacation he had his brother Jim as his co driver.I think Jimbo had a red Molinari and Freds was orange.
@STEVERINO

In Paris 1978 I raced the OZ class in the #11 Molinari/Saffa/Evinrude V6 CCC with Angelo Vassena. (Right side first picture). We finished fourth overall.
Jimbo and Johnnie raced the red/white #16 Molinari/Johnson V6 RS..Molinari himself #12.
#15 was Erwin Zimmermann.
