Everyone ok?
Well unfortunately it is !! During testing we put some really big wheels on and man did it stroll !! But a freighter wake caught em and it went airborne and flipped over backwards. I don't recall ever a DW flipping over backwards but it did !! We got the boat righted and motors running but it's gonna go back to Doug Wrights for a little Love !! Nick and Scott are a little sore but otherwise ok !!! See you all in Clearwater !!!
glad there all ok....
Thank you Frank !! That is true !! This is nothing time and money can't fix but it could have been a lot worse !!!
Wow, glad the safety gear did what it was meant to do.
Scott got some stitches and bruised but Nick didn't get a scratch-both are lucky. Scott didn't say anything to me about a wake but that they were running against the current, into the wind, and it puffed up and straight over. He said they were way North of a hundred and still accelerating. Glad they are both okay.

My guess is that it will be a fire drill and Nick will still make the Fall River race thats a month away.

To all of the scream and flyers that reached out today, Scott just wanted to thank you all and share this :
OPA race Testing at st Clair today. We got mixed up in a freighter wake that had reflected off a sea wall. Blew the boat over. Banged us and the boat up a bit. No broken bones. The rescue team , all of the paramedics , and hospital staff operated flawlessly as they did their mandatory checkup to make sure there were no internal injuries. Thanks for the kind messages, calls, and texts. Never have felt my age before. I'm thinking I will tomorrow. All the best.
Glad they are ok. Makes you wonder about all these other 32's out there with 400r's on the back. It shows that even outboard cats just over 100mph can blow over as well.
Be careful out there.
