Gday guys, ive just bought a 1650 lightweight with a 225 merc. Curently only running a 21 laser, but looking for a 25 laser or 26 chopper. I am also lucky enough to know the founder of bullet aust, and he had a tunnel hull bullet in the 80's do 112mph. bullets are an awesome riding boat, and for there age there design was ahead of its time i reckon.
Another twin rig. Ordering a New Force F21 lightweight, no compromise race boat, the sonic was neither a social skiing boat(too much power) nor race boat(too heavy) so bought the Force to go race.Quote:

Sorry for delay, havent been on here in a while, Truslove is running a Burgess hull. He killed them, and even backed off at the end!

There is nothing like doing 60 mph+ on water! Our 1750 Bullet runs a 200 Merc with some bigger carbies and a bit of port work, runs great. Only sore point of the 1750 (and perhaps other bullets) is the chine walking, does anyone know if there is a cure for this effect, great for scaring first time bullet riders.
Cure for chine walking is SEAT TIME!!!

A 1750 is the same as all Bullets they have a 21 degree deadrise the same as Haines, Cyclone and Force which is quite steep. I have owned and driven over the last fifteen years of racing 1500, 1650, 1750, 1850 and an 1800 (which I still have). I have raced Bullet, Connelly, Cyclone, Lab, Concept, PFM, Superclass and Force! If you can’t drive they all chine walk! so keep practicing!!!!!!!
Be carful, if a Bullet spots a Possum it may go after it!!

if it chine walks heaps u betta learn how to drive it, 60 mph and over, they seem to drive the best, it really sits good and just slides through the water. anything under and the fuel consumption goes up only a little though, and hard steering. i went out for a camping trip for the long weekend here last weekend, and found out i have to lift up my motor one hole up because on half throttle or just past half it tends to lean on one side, but only a little. but anything on full throttle, motor jacked up, a good high pitch prop, it will chine walk, soo get readdy to steer it. dont be scared, it will not flip on you, trust me i have been on some very very scary ski boat rides, and in my first bullet ski boat, i literally s**t my pants lol. but learn to drive with it, it only took a few practice runs in flat water, but when a few bumpy, lumpy or choppy water goes underneath the pad thats when the boat starts to get its speed and wants to fly.
