Twin omc stringer drives.Got to be flipper.:D
That or one of the movies. Used to ride our bikes up to Ivan Tors Studios & watch filming of Flipper & Gentle Ben. Watched them film dockside scenes at the ramp about n.e. 111 st & Biscayne Bay, where the Jockey Club ended up. We used that ramp a lot, grew up on Biscayne Canal - n.e. 105 st.
Wasn't there a spring that without the drive was dead I seem to remember a friend trying to get the spring and it was crazy money.
It used a springs around drive hubs instead of a clutch dog set up. failures were blamed on people putting in the wrong gearacase oil -90W, they took omc type c oil that was very thin.. The springs ride close to the hubs and electro-magnets engaged the springs kinda like the chinese finger toys that u cant pull off, the more torque harder they gripped the hubs.. supposedly the heavy oil would engage the reverse spring when in fwd at speed and boom...
