Great picture. I have known Gene for a very long time. We were both career Fire Fighters and he is my retirement hero. I am pretty sure that he has been retired longer than he worked. I am trying to get there.

Ready to start the new year at a gallop—— got a huge amount of satisfaction bringing this old girl back to life, even though it did give me cramp, muscle fatigue, and the use of many new and never before heard international swear words !

Took me over two hours this morning——— buggered if I’d employ me to anything any more !
Started on the last six lamps for the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost—— four mudguard ( wing) lamps and the two rear acetylene lamps—— hope to get them finished before close of play today.
Maybe a few piccies before the end of the week!

Was syndicated on everything he ever wrote —— wasn’t biased to any manufacturer—— club or class—- the only “Honest” reporter I ever met?
Has a lovely wife Brenda who I’ve known for over fifty years—- RIP Ray.
Yep---38 years, Jackie----but you know I'm almost a year older than you--
Lots of 'unpaid employment'----

Retail owner, Aircraft Charter---
I was on Gentry's payroll (THANKS RICHIE) as 'corporate' pilot--boat cleaner--boat mechanic---for years---

Had a good day in the shop—- cooking with gas—- old/new lathe is a pleasure to work with.
So, just for good measure and because there’s no storage —- or a cabinet, I fernagled a bottom shelf !!
Works a treat, put all the paraphernalia that came with it on the shelf.
Damn but I’m good, and modest, I’m a going concern once again ! And, the rollers galloping along!
