comin up the river in the dark...............bunch of us.............went by and hosed John Haling down with the tail from our rooster..............he chased....we took a hard right comin out the river..........i think u know where this is goin...........outboard went right thru............bout two days later.....him and his bro are pullin me out of my car.........u knew thos rocks were there and u made us go thru.........knocked the drive right off his OMC stern drive.......I wondered why he wasnt behind us after that..:rolleyes:.....ahhhhhhhhh the good old days...............

Remember one night, doing same from M/H bars..blasting back to the Happy Ours resort/house, its still open, gotta be 1am easy, a Sat night..(and this when we would go "play", starting about 2/3 pm..18 gallons gas, 18 beers in MY cooler..(byob any others)
Gonna do a fast blast..(boat ran 73)..by the bar at the resort.
All I get to see is the RT 12 shore lights ahead, reference, and any side lake lights.
So I'm ready to do my famous "tail", in front the bar lights, with noise of course.
Heading toward the 12 shore lights, WOT..sawing the wheel, on the pad.
All of a sudden, there is something right in front of me, and I'm closing FAST
Some 18 footer, bunch on board, just left the bar..at the right angle to not see the bow light, and some girl was sitting on the transom, BLOCKING THE STERN LITE!
I cut the wheel HARD LEFT...now sliding into them, then when so close to crap my pants, a HARD RIGHT steer, and nail it.
I was close enough to see the girl blocking the lite.
And don't think for a second..I didn't go back and have a "word" with them.
They were scared ****less, and so was I.
Best I can say, "I got good "Angels", that watch over me.
I could have killed quite a few that night..and thank, in retrospect, that girl blocking that rear light...made me "think"..."knock off the showing off"
