I'll never forget those October "last blast rides'. Bunch us go south the chain.., through the locks down to Algonquin?..(wherever that dam was, and can't go any farther). All the smokey lakeside leaf burning, that "Indian Summer" thing.
Just too cool....(then wait for the ice, and do it allover agin, on sleds!
