Most people would be stunned to learn how much these prop balancing jigs cost and how fragile the wheels are. If you let the shaft bump a wheel while you are setting up, you likely make a dent in the wheel and the jig is out of commision until repaired. Been there, done that, got the tee shirt. At least the place I worked had their own in-house machine shop to do the repair same day without sending it out. We had a small enclosure so breezes and drafts would not try to turn the props while they were on the balancing jig, these things allow that much precision.
