I remember back in the seventy's, think it was when Nixon was president, we were going through the oil crisis, everyone was trying to figure out how to lower business & home electric bills, fuel oil heating bills, etc., etc., etc... Nixon government decided America would continue to work the usual 40 hour workweek, but in four ten hour days. I was young & thought...THAT would be cool, as it would give me one more day each week in summer to go boating! We actually came very close to doing that. It wouldn't change a thing for me, at the time, as I was already working 10 plus hours a day.
