Tricks that old racers get up to after retirement

Well, I guess all those interested in Bootsie’s fatal accident will have seen all the hype on Facebook— BBC news—— UTube —- and the dozens of other reports dotted about the internet.
Nothing I can add that you don’t already know!
Bootsie—- if you can hear me—- a lot of people loved you—- a lot of ex raceboat drivers envied you—- a lot of folk thought that at 76 years old and blind as bat for the last twenty years, you should not be celebrating a successful record breaking run in the dark at 90+ miles an hour less than a half mile from the finish line!
But that was you all over—— you were never going to die in bed—- or from pneumonia—- or in a gun fight—— it had to be in a boat, doing the thing you wanted to do.
Rip, Fabio—— you leave a big hole and a bunch of sad people !

My son in law Steve worked alongside Bootsie for a couple of years, he reckons Bootsie thought more of the dog Sam than he did anyone—— he sent Steve a signed copy of his book and a birthday card, he was that sort of a man!

How ‘bout that—— finally got around to making a “Photo-Booth”.24”x24” inside measurement,

Sweet peas are getting a bit thin thin on the ground—— picked ‘em every day from the last week of June until the second week of September—— over twelve weeks of beautiful flowers—— well worth the effort!

So, Corbyn plans a 32 hour four day week for everyone with no decrease in pay— the man is a Moran and a fool and a bloody COMMUNIST .
THEN HE WANTS TO CLOSE ALL PRIVATE SCHOOLS —— and deploy their wealth into the public school sector—— just how dumb can a politician be?
the whole of the working population would die from bedsores—— plus, the murder rate would increase —- wives killing housebound husbands !
Then of course there’s the question of funding a 32 hour week—— Employers are saddled with double what a worker takes home in paying a workers taxes, insurance, medical, travel, —- then there’s the “Sicky day’s—- maternity leave in sympathy with the wife—— the 21 days allowed off not feeling up to par—— oh yes , almost forgot—— little matter of a months paid annual holiday—— where in the name of all that’s holy can you find an employer crazy enough to employ ANYONE?
So, Mr FECKIN idiot Corbyn, you think it’s a good idea to close Eton—- Harrow—- Christ’s Hospital and Charterhouse do you——— then, you are a PILLOCK ,!
There have always been students with brains—— the clever buggers that go on to run industry—- schools—- armies—- Doctors—- Scientists—- Lawyers—- countries!
Then there are those not so gifted that have to work hard to get anywhere, all they have is backbone , muscle and a modicum of common sense—— public sector schools material So to speak!

Then of course there’s the idealistic dreamer. Who thinks everybody else should work—- you know the sort—- sets himself up as as an opposition leader, gets a soapbox and spouts crap and dribble and pretends to be clever.

Im glad I was born, when I was, a time of high values, morals, integrity—— 50 hour week—- ladder system in schools—- university for clever buggers—— apprenticeships for the not so clever—- school friends that lasted a lifetime—— smacked arse if you misbehaved——families that prayed and stayed together.
If we had a beef, it was settled with fists—— not guns and knives .

I remember back in the seventy's, think it was when Nixon was president, we were going through the oil crisis, everyone was trying to figure out how to lower business & home electric bills, fuel oil heating bills, etc., etc., etc... Nixon government decided America would continue to work the usual 40 hour workweek, but in four ten hour days. I was young & thought...THAT would be cool, as it would give me one more day each week in summer to go boating! We actually came very close to doing that. It wouldn't change a thing for me, at the time, as I was already working 10 plus hours a day.

Honest folk gifted with common sense have always HAD to work hard hard—— all their lives—- they didn’t have a god given right to sit home all day and draw welfare ! If you lost your job—- you got up and found another—- no ifs or buts—- if you wanted to live in society—- you work !
I have never drawn one days sick pay in my life—— not that I haven’t been off sick—— just never got paid for it! DIDN'T EXPECT TO.

Do have a 47’ APACHE on the go——— was going to be KIMOSABE —— but I don’t know the man—- so I opted for “LUCKY STRIKE” —- probably wrong but that’s life or “SODS-LAW” .

Well,well,we’ll,—— never realised just how powerful the “REMAINERS” are——- 11-0 by the Supreme Court———- while I don’t think it should be possible for one man to close down parliament for any length of time, the Supreme Court is never unanimous????
No election until they have a lengthy extension to Brexit——— then another referendum—— the vote would have to be remain——— but those idiots in power have no comprehension of just how pissed off the electorate is with this bunch of wankers!
Lot of turmoil in November and December for the English nation——- Farage is biding his time in the wings———- could be his time is a coming?

the EU has to agree to the extension and said they wont unless a viable plan is put forward, they are as sick of it as are UK voters
