well at least the Mauser used a clip;D
love that sound ping:thumbsup: true story during WW2 the GI's would throw an empty CLIP on the ground from there M1"s the other side would think there were empty and they would pop up
I am beginning to get the feeling Mikey has a Clip Phobia :)
if you had to go to the safe which pistol would you take out for a SHF or GTW scenario?
I love my Glock 19's. I have one in each bug out bag. After doing a Magpul handgun course and seeing Chris Costa's Glock with over 300,000 rounds through it, still putting rounds into the same hole, I was sold.
the glock 19 is a perfect choice, I also like the Sig 226 https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...wvBxp0iLVJ5QBw
i like this toohttps://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...0px-FN5701.jpg this spits rounds out at over 2000fps
That's a beauty. The Sig is an awesome weapon.
there are so many to choose from but Glock is Glock and in a GTW scenario thats probably the best choice plenty of parts avalible and of course ammo and clips:rolleyes:
I also have a 5.7, I haven't even shot it yet but I like the large capacity with 5.56 performance in a handgun. Its bigger than I thought it would be, but its amazingly light for its size.
LIghter the gun, harder to hit the a target. Especially a moving one. Can a 9mm glock hit a paper plate at 30 yards with 50% accuracy. I know at my local gun range most can't hit a plate at 20 yrds.
That 19 is pretty accurate but 50 yards is pretty far the standard for self defense is 7 yards
I have heard Pro and cons about Glocks. Personally i wouldn't own another one if it were given to me. I had a 19 come apart in my hand. I sent it back and they wanted to blame it on Hot loaded ammo. I never shot anything other than over the counter ammo in it. They refused to stand behind it. So I took pictures of me smashing it with a 2 lb sledge. Boxed it back up and mailed it to them.
