Facts about Evinrude/Johnson racing outboards made my OMC

My friend Rick's Hydra-sport 25 WA is very good riding boat..the twin Yamaha had some major issues..
After 700 hours both power-heads needed to be replaced..the Harmonic Balancer was the reason for the power-heads to go bad.
Rick purchased the boat used and nobody told him about the problem when he was under warranty.
He ended up paying for the two power-heads and later a gear case also.

Its behind him now and "Life is Good" is a great boat.

Carina think boating in south Florida is getting boring..way to much idle speed/no wake zone..she wants to go fast..!!
During all the idling onboard "Life is Good" she can take a quick nap..!!..

So when OMC is not available ... then Yamaha is second best?

I agree Lars. I fail in love with it and went out and bought a case of Stella and regretted it.
I now buy it in cans. It's closer to draft.

Yes, that's me in the beautiful painted Formula One OZ class Molinari/Saffa/Evinrude CCC V6 race boat in the famous Paris 6 Hour race 1978. A very fast boat. Best in the business. Racing for 6 hours on the river Seine, next to the Eiffel tower and a small copy of the Statue of Liberty.
Our Saffa/Molinari/Evinrude CCC V6 boat was on the front page of this German Sport-Book.

Hi Lars. I was commenting on a post from 3/ 9 3.3 liter looper powerhead on a CCC/RS V6 mid section.
(Updated to correct cc) about the kicker motor that was leaning on a beautiful evenrude race motor on one of your earlier posts.
