Boy, I was always a big Tom T Hall fan..... one of the best story tellers and pickers in the industry! (He even wrote Harper Valley PTA).
His wife, Dixie Hall wrote many Nashville songs herself for other musicians. My favorite Tom T songs were Clayton Delaney Died, Homecoming and Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine.
Tom wrote it, but Jeannie made it a hit, even the pop radio stations played Harper Valley PTA.Quote:
