Charlie Strang was the CEO for OMC when I was in racing and the outboard business.

Looking back at the 2021 Racers Reunion, Lake Havasu City.
Carina and me are so happy we went. Tim Seebold and Mr. Bill should get all the credit. Lots of fun and plenty of great people.
Thanks to everyone.
I can really recommend this hotel if you go to Lake Havasu City.
Only Beachfront hotel in Arizona and it shows on the “bottomline” when you check out..https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/e...5/16/1f603.png

Barry Woods update/info.
To my surprise I did see a familiar lady at the Racers Reunion Sunday afternoon.
I asked Margarite Woods if I could sit down next to her an did so.
As always she looks great..
Margarite stopped by Lake Havasu City Sunday to see some friends.
As we all know Barry could not come to the event.
Barry is struggling and I told Margarite about all the great memories when Barry was racing overseas.
From driving a rental car in to the Sofitel, Brugge lobby and all the fun in the Amsterdam 3 hours dry pit.
I should have asked Margarite for a picture but forgot..
Barry..lots of people was asking me about you..https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/e....5/16/2764.pnghttps://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/e....5/16/2764.pnghttps://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/e....5/16/2764.png

Lars, Margarite came to the Monday night banquet with Bill & Lynn Seebold and they sat at our table.
Margarite recognized Mark Rotharmel and came over and talked with Mark for awhile.
Margarite asked Mark to autograph one of the OMC Racing placemats and I know Mark wrote something to Barry but I did not want to ask Mark what he wrote, but I'm sure it was something she will want to share with Barry.
Thanks

From my FaceBook page last night:
Tiffany Woods
Hi Lars, my mom is sitting right here and she did show the placemat to my dad, he appeared to remember Mark.
Mark wrote “To Barry, great driver and great friend.”
Tiffany Woods
Lars, she wanted me to tell you how much she enjoyed talking with you!
Rotary John
Well..Need help from @Rotary John with more info on this picture I got from Terry Weddell.
# 15 Cesare Scotti Scotti-Craft/Evinrude Rotary and it is Cesare on his boat.
Maybe Windermere 1973??
PS..A few more Rotary pictures is coming.

Lars: If I remember right we ran 2 Evinrude's and 2 Johnsons at Windemere '73. Posey/Downard won in a Johnson. Johnnie Sanders broke in practice. Woods and Beard drove Evinrude's. I don't recall either Jimbo or Scotti running unless they were backup/relief driver for Woods/& Beard. Maybe Cathy remember better than me.
The #197 Johnson Rotary. Probably from Parker, AZ 1973..??
Thanks Terry Weddell.

Jimbo was not at this race. It appears to be a slotted Scotti with a Rotary. Mike Downard was his co-driver. The boat came to the States, Jimbo drove it in testing the blowout problems of the production 235 lower unit. After that it was sold.
William Michael Downard
I think there were two slot deck Scotti’sat Windemere. Scotti was to drive one and I drove the other. The boat Scotti was driving blew the engine in testing and that boat didn’t run. I ran the other slot deck Scotty number 22 I think and won the race.
A great Johnson poster.
The first and second in Paris 6 Hours with the new racing V-6 1973 is also a big deal.
