My boat didn't seem to be running its best on the lake and a closer look over reveals my prop must have been lose on the shaft as I found it was boring into the carrier !! That should have shaved a good few mph off me....:confused:

As the years have passed it seems the original intention is getting lost. Everyone needs to do what I do.. break off their torque tab on their driveway right when your ready to leave so the boat is undrivable over 60 then add alot of weight to assure that your not going to be the fastest ! Speaking of broken tabs......RONNIE !!!

Well sorry for running a little too hot and heavy in the rough on Saturday Keith. I’m the one that spit Keith out of the boat as we tripped it on a wave and stuffed. I looked over at him just 30 seconds prior and said "you OK Keith"? He had a smile almost as big as Albys and said yea this is great. Boy how many times are things going really great before they come to a screeching halt. Turns out Keith is going to need surgery on his knee. On a different note. Don’t know personally but the speeds of Chris and Rockys boats both seem to be pretty accurate from good sources I have heard on both sides but cant say personally. I have to say though, I think this will all change soon. Chris has a boat that easily has the potential to be a 160 MPH boat with a little work. I don’t think that would be the smartest thing to attempt on Rockys boat. If I know Chris his boat will probably be faster by next year. As for me, I’m not betting, I think we should just try to keep this thing fun. I sure messed that up when I forced the class clown to slow down a little on Saturday night. Sorry guys.
Don't sweat it Jimmy. The trouble with trouble is it starts off as fun. Accidents happen and I think it was a reality check for all of us that most of these boats are equipped with engines the hull designers could have only dreamed of back then and many are consistently running speeds well in excess of what those designers expected. Fortunately no irreversible damage was done and it may just make the rest of us think twice before we push it a little harder than we should in a given set of circumstances from here on out.

Well said Nick, It seems that every year there is a pack of rocket ships and then the rest runningin the chop , maybe slow it down so more people can take video's and pictures without taking their life in their hands just to catch a picture. I believe a group of boats all running togeter and taking turns for fly by video's would be alot better , everyone knows were there boats fit in and if you have something too prove do it during the weekend not when 50 or so boats are runnin hard in cross wake chop. As a whole guys have been very lucky in not getting hurt, myself included almost threw myself and Kent out just trying too keep up, never again .
