Anybody ever mount twins on a V 22?
couple more....
Thats baddass! If i had the coin id bolt another 200 on my boat but $$$$$ lol
Forget the two outboards. All u need is a 700 hp small block:D
I don't know if these two shots are the same boat as in Dkerns second post...but the first I took in Old Forge (NY) a few years ago, the other is an article from Hot Boat.
Actually, I've been considering trying it on my boat :D

You do it on yours Ill do it on mine lol
He's a pic of my dash.
That Veocity with the twins has to 90 plus wouldn't you think? I would think moving the gas tank and batteries forward in that boat would be a great help, you can see how high the bow sits.
does anybody have a center console 22?
There were no speeds quoted because back in the mid '90s GPS speedos were huge $$$ . We got tired of babysitting the speedo pickups, running the Hudson w/all the crap in th water. They would only work for a few mins. before plugging up, bending or tearin off completely. I would say the Velo ran very high 90s or more. He could spin the 2.5s 8100rpm w/30p cleavers anytime. cm
Check out these brochures of "Steve Stepp's" 22 Offshore Champion High Performance Velocity. Let me remind you these were the 80's...
Interesting..if you blow up the speck page in the last post you get the official weight of a Velocity 22 hull...1411 lbs!!
Does it say thats for the fiberglass or the Kevlar Velocity?
It doesn't mention Kevlar anywhere, I would have to assume they mean fiberglass. Plus I really think a kevlar hull would be like 800-900 pounds don't you?
I dont know. I was just wondering cause RLC's Velocity is a kevlar hull with a Kevlar deck and we wernt sure how much it weighed without rigging. Thanks for info.
I doubt that the Regal Kevlar boat is much lighter than than a standard lay up Stepp boat. I know that Steve said "he" built RLC's boat, but........ I would like to hear what S. Stepp says!?!?!? Either way, they are both light!!!
Give him a call. His number is on the web site. He is very easy to talk to. He's trying to talk me into a outboard version thats why I have the questions. He said my motor on a standard Velocity should go low to mid 80's if set up right. Thats what Steve Stepp himself said.
I have talked to Steve on numerous ocassions. I have also been on a couple of Velocity/poker runs he and his wife have attended. Very nice people!! I don't mean to sound harsh, but I don't really care how much the weight difference is so I don't want to bother him with the call!! But if someone else makes the call, I would like to know!!
Gotta remember, I have been around Velocity boats for 20 years!!
I have seen that you have been around Velocitys for a while. Just seemed like you were taking another poke at Rich insinuating that he didnt hear that from Stepp. Oh well keep taking shots at each other. Its entertainiment for us onlookers.
I know its like you to are in grade school:D
