Oh Sh*t, that means I'm not done yet. Even though mine are on the wrong axle they seem to work, tell me I don't have to change them. :-)

So...I'm at the HW store last week and buy several more cans of primer and grabbed a can of Cold Galvanize for the trailer jack.
Not paying attention as all the caps were primer grey in color, I grabbed a can and proceeded to apply another coat on the trailer rails......as I was going for another can I finally saw that I had just galvanized my base coat!!!!
I hope to never see another sand blaster!!!
Redo's Suck but seem to be a part of Marine Repair.....or is that AGE!
Attachment 397869Willy If you look closely at one of the pics on my Viper Project thread, you will see an extra dash cover I f-ed up on the wall over the window. That was a LOT of extra time! Not good for the mental health!!!
Gary
I really appreciate y'all bringing up "redos".......Since I 'thought' I was finished!!!!
The front and rear crossmembers are original and untouched....when I added the 2 new one's in between, I used them to align the new bunk perches.....why change the factory set-up RIGHT???
WELL...Evidently this tub has set on this trailer from day 1 with the port side lower than the starboard!!!
Must'a gone unnoticed because the single axle fenders had a different angle on the inside.
However on these twin axle fenders, I have no clearance on port and 1+" on starboard.
Guess I'll be shimming the port bunks today!!!
Oh Yeah.....and I dunked it yesterday just to make sure it was centered on the trailer!

Ah....I found some old pics verifying the original set-up was off!!!
Thanks Custom Line!!!!

Isn't that the truth Gary!!!
Now to figure....guess I'll start with 1/2" shims on the port! A little goes a long way when you're raising the side, which is several ft' away!
Actually the measurement from the hull to frame@ bunks should tell me!
BTW, it appears to be setting on all 4 bunks nicely as far as distributing weight!
They are used, however the measurement is different from frame to hull so no doubt it's the bunk pads!
At the very rear crossmember is 3/4" diff from side to side and 1/2", half way up the boat.
You know the old saying....just call me to dinner!!!
HEY, I'm the ONLY WillySteve in the World....jus Google it!!!
