Probably the roughest race i drove in Bob Hering in the no 3 molinari submarined about 1 hr into the race lying in 3rd place and his outfit was a 18ft marathon boat the no 4 boat Steve Pinsons outfit knocked the bottom through after 50 minutes.All the omc outfits had bent prop shafts and not many spare gearcases the Mercury outfits had as many as 4 gearcase swops over 2 days of racing the fastest boats spent that much time out of the water a ON 2.0 Mercury outfit driven by Peter Inwood nearly won the race for the last 30 mins of this race he had no prop blades left and the rescue boats were as fast as he was but Tom Percival was give 1st place.Quote:

Cees was in charge..the team owner, number one team driver..he also used his race # 1.

Cees was a very charming person and great with the media..(especially the female media)..:)
