Jackie. It looks like a Welshman might just win the Tour de France. That will be 4 in a row for riders from the UK. I watch that stuff because I raced that stuff for about as long as I raced boats.

My sainted mother always called “pedal power” ———“ Britches arse steam power” ——- was never an enthusiast for physical sport——- always reserved my energy for sex and a long life with some bits of happiness chucked in for good measure———— I have it on good authority that physical workouts , particularly running and cycling can considerably shorten your life span?
MALIBU-STANG??---
The old Bird continues to present problems, Jackie--
And I continue to 'address' them--
Each day I go to the hangar--and roll the MUSTANG out--and realized 'How many people know there is a MUSTANG in my 'collection'?
So today I started to detail the OLD BEAUTY--
Purchased new, by me, over 52 years ago

Jesus wept Gene, you are a dark horse——- tell me honestly is that the “Fastback” with a V8 and a stick shift ? I think I just wet the bed!!!!
If that came up for sale at Bonhams next vintage car sale as a one owner, low mileage. Original, in pristine condition your probably looking at over the million dollar mark———- if the Ford Motor Co. found out about it, they would be hammering on your door——— begging for it to remain in the USA.
Believe me Gene——— that particular jam jar is rare as rocking horse sh-t.…
send me your address PM! And I’ll send you the latest Bonhams Goodwood publication——- it’s known over here as “CAR PORNOGRAPHY”——-cost me £50, so you get to pay the postage!
Found four beautiful model racecars——- detail is the best I’ve ever come across, bit larger than the run of the mill——- could be by SCHUCO.
UNFORTUNATELY they’re not pristine——— need restoring———- still, for £20 I’m not complaining.
My beloved Honda lawn mower which I acquired seven years ago needed replacing, managed to pick up a used MOUNTFIELD for fifty quid. I’ll give it the once over, just to see that all’s as it should be.
Only seven years out of a Honda? That is really unusual. I purchased a Honda HT3813 yard tractor back in 1985 and it runs as good today as when it was new. It is an interesting machine with a 389 cc water cooled two cylinder engine. The drive clutch and PTO clutch are automotive disc - pressure plate clutches - no belts with tensioners. One of the best investments I have made...

Once knew a great girl in SAN Bernardino who had one brand new for her seventeenth birthday——powder blue with a V8 and a three speed stick shift. Loved the car and the girl !
Bob, the Honda engine runs fine, but unfortunately the tin cover above the blade has been eaten away with rust. Only Gaffer tape has kept it workable for the last two years——— otherwise, it’s perfect !
A sudden clap of thunder last night around 18:00 hrs, the heavens opened, and for the first time in eight weeks—— God took a leak!!!!
I didn’t need to water the garden today———- was just short of the 100 degrees so no records were set. Temperatures dropped dramatically——- thick cloud cover which buggered up the eclipse and put paid to any chance we had of perusing the BLOOD RED MOON,
Its still supposed to be red tonight and tomorrow——— imnot holding my breath as it’s due to be wind and thunderstorms all day tomorrow.Good news is, we get the heat back on Monday.
I had a 67 notchback 289 3 speed. It was Acapulco blue just like the magazine ads. It was my first brand new car. I unfortunately wrecked it a couple of years later. The collision repairs did not go well an it wound up with a persistent vibration so I traded if for a new Torino in 1970.
Bob--and Jackie---
It is a 1966--225HP 289-- four speed--complete with 'Styled Steel' wheels and 'circus tires'
--and my special friend Davis--special needs--Davis loves the Mustang--calls it THE REDBIRD---
More pics after I finishing detailing---quite a few layers of dust to go--

Time for shuteye——- might just take a peek at the moon before I turn in.
Will post you a piccie of the Gaffa/Honda grass cutter tomorrow.
MALIBUSTANGS all over the shop—————- saw the wooden one I made two or three years ago still lurking under the bench!
Might get some good shoptime in tomorrow———beavering on the new Concept——- called it “PONY EXPRESS “——Thought about about LUNER——— or maybe——— LUNARTIC EXPRESS———— Could be a —MOONLIGHT EXPRESS .
Half the-fun of a good concept is naming it.
Taking my time over this one———if it turns out ok, maybe someone might buy it, and give me a reason (apart from the arthritis and grey cell excuse.). To do another ?
