Solid state battery's would be a start and the raw materials need to come from other places than Russia and China

just reading the bottom section here about them setting the electric boat speed record, if i recall this boat only made one pass. For it to have an actually official record, doesnt the boat have to make 2 runs over a kilo in opposite directions within a certain amount of time? Also, I remember seeing the interview they did with torrente last year before the shoot out and they said the motors were making more like 300+ hp for the run, not the advertised 180. I think they were using the base 180 hp package, but had it turned up for the run.Quote:

Shaun said peak 340 hp with mega torque 300 hp normal, same motors as 180 hp version just cranked up to max with controller.
These motors cost twice what a gas motor at this time.
