The "British Invasion" bands were mostly doing old American blues standards. I got curious who the names were in the liner notes concerning the song writers. Once I found out, I was hooked. Rock n' roll is awesome, but blues just leaves me feeling like the artist just left a piece of himself on the studio floor. My all time guitar/blues hero is Johnny Winter, may he also RIP.
