Interesting story about the V8 testing at Chatfield's. Don Henrich and I were there and Don had some props he wanted tested. I was standing on the hill watching the test when Kenny's prop threw a blade. The blade flew inches over my head, by the time I realized what had happened I was shaking thinking that could have easily hit me in the head. I walked over and picked up the part and noticed quite a bit of porosity in the casting. I still have that blade along with the rest of the prop. I had always planned to mount them as a wall hanging reminder of how lucky I was that day. We installed another prop and continued our testing without any problems.
