Tricks that old racers get up to after retirement

Why thank- you Robert, much appreciated, I was beginning to wonder if there will be a World after IPHONE 27 ——- damn things seem to do everything except clean your teeth—- wipe your arse and make a bacon sandwich !
Stick one-in the cup holder on my Trusty Lexus F Sport and I can switch on the central heating— see if anyone broke into my house—— did Indy chase Murphy round the garden again, and even make a phone call—— plus, I can talk to my son face to face in florida for free. Well, that is if you don’t count the cost of one of these devices which currently cost around a thousand pounds Sterling.
Which only proves the Old adage “THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS A FREE MEAL” .

Incidentally—— I have an “old” IPHONE 5 plus——- cost me $200 brand fire new out of eBay,last time I was in the states.
Grandkids tell me I should update to the IPHONE X as it has a 24 mega pexil integrated semi modular graduated memory chip capable of nanosonic multifunctional photogenically potential capabilities that can replace the need for carrying a Canon Rebel and a Leica 6 digital !!!
Does anyone out there know what the hell my kids are talking about?

Bob... not only did I not get to thrash.......um I mean gently exercise this chariot along the M27 in his absence free of charge and out of the goodness of my heart. But I also see I was omitted from the" regular contributors " listing but, whatever I'm only 50% of the UK entry anyways.

get on the class action suing google in the UK for stealing data from iphones, that will pay for a new one

Oh for Christ’s sake Phill, stop whinging and get a life—— I’m eighty FECKIN six and some of the memory marbles gone missing——— I didn’t mention God, but it doesn’t mean I forgot him ! I mentioned just a few of the folk who contribute regularly, what do you want——- a Kewpie Doll—— a thank you note——- I tell you once and for all——— NO, YOU MAY NOT BORROW THE TRUSTY LEXUS F SPORT ! Even the kitchen goddess seems to think it’s “Her” car.
To anyone contemplating buying a LEXUS———- be very careful—— a lot of people will want to take it away from you.
IPHONE 5 S/s are not even worth putting on eBay——— nobody wants them anymore—— they’re old hat, out of date, too small, mediocre camera——- postage is probably more than you would get for the camera.

Jackie: Do you have to get to 87 before you quit bitching?

So, I looked up on eBay the price of iPhones——— top of the line iPhone 6 is a tad over £200.—— top of the range iPhone 7 is around £300 and believe me there are truckloads of them, Refurbs start at around £125. All you have to do is search.
Like most things in life “seek and ye shall find” ———- ask and you will be told—— hide and you will learn nothing! An arse is not for sitting on———- it houses the legs that take you where you’re going.
Time I went to bed——- started the anti-biotics today, maybe I’ll get a few hours in the shop tomorrow.That means I won’t be delivering loads of nonsense all day long, and inciting riots amongst the old farts fraternity.

Pheew..managed to get a good bite there didn't I?

Never sued anyone in my life Pilgrim—-always confronted them face to face—-I have thumped a few and been thumped,but the problem was always resolved ( in a friendly manner so to speak). So, if I want a new iPhone, there’s only one way to get it——— dig deep and bite the bullet.

You should know by now I don’t do PC or “Pussyfoot” ——— agony aunt either.

One Friday evening just before the shop closed, Four, well spoken, scruffy looking twenty plus kids walked into the shop and started talking raceboats and engines——- how much they cost to run— which boats were best etc——- did I have any second had boats, why Merc and not Jonrude. Turned out the were all students at Guys, learning to be dentists. One of them had a house on the beach at Shoreham and invited me down to his weekend party. His name was Eddie Chater, his companions were Peter Inward, Robin Torrance and Bob Smith—— all went on to buy boats of their own——- all became dental surgeons. All had London addresses.
Peter Inward had the most famous address——100 Harley Street, a very gentle man, loved by everyone—- successful racer—- dentist, gentleman who loved his racing. Only way I could pay him for all the work he did on my fangs was by swopping him a gearcase and two props for the bridgework.
He was dentist to the rich and famous —— he looked after my mouth for many years—— we always came to some arrangement over payment. He lost his life at Fairford on a beautiful Sunday afternoon driving his Hodges/Mercury which swopped ends and landed on the top bank leaving him with fatal multiple injuries. He had been to church with his long time girl friend Gabriella, playing the organ as he loved to do in the morning!
Robin Torrance went over to OMC and drove in the 850 E class for many years very successfully.
Eddie Chater bought a 16’ Levi (Voodoo ) then moved on to offshore—— part of the London/ Monte Carlo crew on HTS with Mike Bellamy, Ralph Hilton, and Jim ?
Told you before——I met some wonderful characters during my racing career—— these are just a few!

As you may have gathered, I had another bad night, coughing and spluttering the way only a cranky 86 year old git can—- ‘twas a case of leave the room or risk suffocation at the hands of her next to me. As always, discretion——— repaired to the lounge and played spank the iPad? That’s how come you got a soliloquy early on.
Mark and Vick land at Gatwick any time now——— they will be staying at the beach house in Elmer for the rest of the week——- ten minutes from my house——- there’s a good chance I’ll get to see them at the weekend. Wont be tomorrow as it’s Bills funeral!
Off into the workshop in a minute——- her who shall be obeyed at all times has gone to Tesco’s Littlehampton for the weekly shop and therefore has no say in the matter.

Was interrupted whilst deep into the doing of the whale tail——- don’t forget , it’s your bloods at twelve. That meant I have to be at the surgery midday—— so I can donate another armful of my lifeblood ( Cant be long before the arm runs dry) .
interesting to note that twenty people in the waiting room——— twelve had their iPhones out including a two year old with a dummy ( comforter ) in its face.
Five generations on I reckon we will have developed a third ear——- purely so the I pod chip phone, which will be thought controlled, can be housed without interfering In everyday life.
That will match the cyber, thought control toilet, you simply piss away whenever you feel the need, Same for number two’s with no foul odours.
They still haven’t found a fart control microchip yet——-the last much heralded “ Fartawayforfree” chip proved unworkable——— people went back to “TUMS”.
