I hear what your saying. My boat is a std layup 845 lbs and I weigh 240 so its basically same as how the yellow one was.
I understand the CG will be different but the 150 lbs over transom really makes everyone feel its not viable I see.

as u stated the hull was designed for the 2.5 @ 375 lbs
they put on the xs at 505 lbs and got #s
now talking 670
in reality its approx. 300# difference than hull designed for
that is why me and others are stating """"CG"""""" the boat
after get motor on u will need weight in front to compensate the see saw
of more weight outside the transom,,,,,,,,,,,,
not deturing just warning
as every1 has been talking safety in the motor usage
guarantee with no bow weight for balancing when sitting in water tied to dock
bow will be over 5' off the water and transom way down
simple math is say boat is 850 divide 2 is 425
add 700 from jack plate added to 425 is 1125 on back 1/2 to 425 on front 1/2 at 23' long
hope understand lots of air to trap if bow comes up from any reason
as high speed tunnels lift naturally the bow
if not cgeed to balance will not be able to pull bow down with all the trim u have and trimmed under lifts the rear,,,double bad situation
as said before on the 15" x motor go a step further
used the weight designed for the boat,,,,1 of the new billet 2.5s making that 350-400 hp at major rpm
over the x
I guess the only thing I need to ask is who knows where j can buy another 15" 3.0 Taylor or Taylor style can quickly

Adam, Todd, Quinten and I all have them in stock. Mine are a little expensive, you might want to check with one of them-

Looks awesome but sounds like someone left their pond waterfall running
If you guys are talking documented Cap's 32' Pleasure with 300xs's went 115mph at LOTO in the shootout. I am sure it was light on fuel as well. I have heard of another converted Raceboats going 122 but no real documentation. I have not seen one with 300x motors.
Also need to note Darren's boat is heavier than some of the race boats as they made some changes to the freeboard as well as beef it up for the motors.

So the 400s have out ran the documented 300xs? Nobody is even a little curious to put one of these on a single motor rig cat?
That is one high end interior.. Makes me want to go kick rocks at my argo..
Dans narrow tunnel boat went 122 with a first attempt using borrowed propellers, Scotts boat ran 119 first time out with a guess on propellers (narrow tunnel, and weighs more then any of the other race boats out there), Kap has run 115 several times with limited prop changes "from what I understand" and Garys current race boat is a total missile with XS motors. Scotts wide tunnel is getting rigged with XS motors and he is gunning for 125.
I would love to see a new one set with a pair of X motors and remote pick ups-I truly believe that high 20s would be there. Darren's new boat is impressive at 121 with the motors being as low as they are for sure. Mercury is apparently getting involved with propellers for the next step. They have the best of the best working this project and I hope that they can pull a number that justifies the price tag.
