Jackie - What ever happened to Andy Green and the Bloodhound Super Sonic Speed Attempt? Last year they were predicting speeds in the area of 1,000 mph. They did a shake down run in October and got up to 200 mph and I have not heard a word since.

Bob this job is not too far my hovel so I have taken an interest in its progress over the years.. One of the lead guys involved used to post regularly on the PISTONHEADS forum, which was always a good informative read..
Regretfully he resigned earlier this year stating "differences of opinion" with the team I believe.
I would imagine it is a funding problem..Folks will only contribute so much for so long before questions are asked...When?. Donald Campbell encountered the same kind of thing in his latter years. Incidentally there is an excellent website telling the ongoing BluebirdK7 rebuild project which hopefully will see water later this year.... (the boat not the website... yea well!)
Well, Phill probably gave you a better answer than I could Bob.
Bloodhound is due to be shipped out to South Africa for a serious attempt sometime this summer, whether or not it will happen is anyone’s guess.
When it costs ten million Stirling to build a FECKIN sailboat, I shudder to think the final cost of a 1,000 mph world record breaking motorcar.
Richard Noble was always on tour with the begging bowl outstretched———- even with the money already raised, there was never ever enough in the kitty.
Festival of speed is around July-12th———- lots of well heeled donors there——- would imagine “BLOODHOUND” will be on show there too!
If ihear anything Bob, I’ll let you know.
Finally cracked it——— bit disappointed——— it’s the noisiest bloody sander ever.
Tried rubber mountings ——- hardly made any difference. No way can I live with this device.
Hunt is on for a half tidy, but quiet sanding machine.
Sunday morning and it it’s back to normal——— had an hour planting up my herb garden.(that’s the only thing I’m allowed to do). You ever heard the old poem——- There’s some can pot Begonias, and some can bud a rose——— and Some are hardly fit to trust with anything that grows ?
Well her outdoors has very strict views on what is and what isn’t allowed in the garden——- that’s her domain ( well mostly ).
Started a new “concept”——— a bit more architectural this time——- based it on the Porche display at Goodwood for the last few years ——- no doubt about it, if your given a free hand,——- untold bags of gold, left to get on with the job——— you can produce masterpieces..
Quite looking forward to being “ Back in the saddle” so to speak !
Just been on FaceTime with Mark and Craig——— they’re headed out to the sandbar in Jupiter! Watched as a sports boat caught fire——- it was burning well ——- fire brigade arrived, along with about 1,000 lookers all with their IPhones out taking pictures———- don’t they have “no wake” zones anymore in florida?
Never made it back into the shop yesterday, what with the large G & T before lunch and the bitterly cold afternoon, I decided to pick up a book———- five minutes into it——— I was gone.
A week today and we’ll be in Rome aboard the Celebrity “CONSTELLATION” all ready for the ten day cruise around the Med.
First stop Naples—— Cartagena—— Malta——-Gibraltar ——- Sicily and so on. Need to see the sun, seems light years since I went out in a T shirt and shorts——- still wearing two cashmere’s!
I upped the ante——— lunch time and it’s still only 38 degrees, so I came in and put a fleece on top of the two cashmere’s———— think we just went back to December.
Beavered away on the new “Concept”——- slow going, thinkbox is in overdrive——— modifications every step of the way———- I find I can always improve on what I originally intended.
If you need someone to give the new Lexus a run out while you're away, don't be nervous about asking.. 10 days sat there...the wind, the rain.. flat spots on the tyres...It'll NEVER be the same again!..........:nonod:
It'll NEVER be the same again!..........:nonod:

That was a cruel thing to do Bob———near pissed myself when I saw that——— the old Sphinx tightened and the heart rate went up to 120 bpm. White as well.
Sorry Phil—-not a cat in hells chance of leaving my pride and joy to be used and abused by anyone other than me and the dearly beloved.
Sneaky peaky of the next effort——- two full days in and not a lot of progress——- but, I got AMBITION,
May have bitten off more than I can chew with this one————- it’s complicated, proportions have to be right————- bikes, cars and boats have to be just about the dogs cajones or the whole thing will fall flat on its tush !
Still, nothing ventured—— nothing gained—— you can’t go through life on bread and wine alone, smelling of roses and being good and remaining pious——— it was just never scripted that way in my book.

Made good progress today ———the Mount is all polished and nailed back together——— the old Stacked CC7 sits nicely atop———- have some ideas about the rest of it——— but like the wind——- it can change anytime !
It’s raining again as per usual———- still, it doesn’t matter a flying fart as I shall be beavering away in the shop without fear of interruption.
Looking forward to seeing new places I’ve never been to———— Malta, Gibraltar and Sicily———- forecast is for 70/80 degrees and lots of sunshine.
Racing proper starts all over the world this week———- kicks off with the Rouen 24 hrs——- P1 and the F1 NGK series. So there will be lots to talk about in the coming months.
Feels like I’ve been talking to myself lately——— everyone’s gone very quiet—— still, once I’ve finished this present concept, I should get plenty of flak——— specially from some of the “Oldies”.
It is quite a controversial piece——- love it or hate it, I’d like all your views on it.
Bought a socking great big trunk some time ago———- filled it with all the concepts that littered the workshop——— wrapped them in towels and blankets so they didn’t float about. Think if I remember right there’s fifteen of em .Small problem ———- damned thing comes in at over 125 lbs——— that’ll give the UPS man backache ! Sending them all to Mark———- he can put them all back together again————- so if anyone out there wants anything——— give Mark a call at “WILSON CUSTOM MARINE——— PORT ST LUCIE , FL.
