I get where you're going with this. But really it just comes down to common sense and common courtesy. I've been a violator of this in the past here, but in the end, it just made me feel kinda crappy. Consider the fact there is another human on the other side of your comments, and pretend your mom is reading them. Should be pretty simple. And yet some can't let go. Sad, really.Quote:

That depends on the violation, but with more serious violations they will detail exactly what the trouble is. With general violations that do not result in punitive action, usually the specific details are more concise and general. Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, this is the “woke”, PC-obsessed world we live in today, where the corporatocracy that owns and runs the world engage in mass virtue signaling to demonstrate that they are actually “decent” humans, as part of their own self-promotion/marketing and to distract the world from all the other crap that they are up to.
But, it is our reality, and Google is no exception, so for the sake of protecting the viability of this site, I’m happy to keep my views on all things politic to myself. I’m used to that anyway, from belonging to a profession where you have to exercise discretion and diplomacy on a daily basis.
So, maybe, just maybe, for the sake of our small and ever-diminishing performance boating community, we can all resist the urge to utter the odd political jibe or personal put-down, even when we think it’s justified.
Think of it as going to church: you might not agree with all that you hear, but you have to behave for the sake of not embarrassing the congregation.
Not that I’m a church-going man, nor do I subscribe to any kind of woke-ism, PR, propaganda BS, that seems to have gripped the world nowadays. But I do try yo confine my thoughts on all things politic to when I’m in my own space, or in the appropriate forum, and I’ll try to keep my focus on here on boating…

It seems simple just to keep it to high performance boating to me. I have had times I could have been drawn into the Ego contests that are so prevalent. I chose not to do so. If someone has an issue, call them up and work it out.
We are a community that freely invests $25,000 into boat that makes it worth $10,000 for the purpose of taking a risk that might maim or kill us. So, to the disinterested observer, one might say we ain't the sharpest pencils in the box, and specifics would be extremely helpful.Quote:

Any new changes to so called esg language needs to be brought to the attention of the members and slack should be cut for any new rules that inevitably come up, like oh you know when mentioning two stroke is illegal, and performance becomes discriminatory etc etc etc. This is the slow battle of a gazillion paper cuts.
