Wow, somebodies Olds tuning is on point! If that Hemi isn't tuned to a gnats ass it ain't gonna run!
A 440 6 wedge always had it on 426 unless things were just right or then no the elephant would start breathing and charging. Even a 4bbl could with the right tune. That 426 was breathing at the end of that run, had him mph and not much off.
Hemi vs 440-6 is totally dependent on tuning. Either one of those on a bad day will fall to a 440 magnum! Or an Olds for that matter!!!Quote:

There was some wild experimental hemi stuff going on at chrysler too.
Too bad the GM corporate regulations never let the cool stuff goig on at BOP see the light of day!
That W34 4valve looks great with the big valve covers and centre plugs. A saw one forsale a while back , complete but in pieces 19k. Would be the cats meow in sweet Olds.
