...Lost a lot of gearcases, using the standard gearcases, and the those 2-blades. Pulled the spanner rings right out of them. The standard "locked-left" gearcases on the port side of this photo, sometimes lasted a bit longer. Dan U...If you knew how slow, heavy, and cumbersome, these old Magnum/Cigarette hulls were...you would understand why the outer engines gearcases, even though they were on the high side of the 24 degree hull, didn't have too much problem getting water, lol. Within a year or so, many switched to using BP or MC1 gearcases on 24 degree offshores.http://www.screamandfly.com/attachme...7&d=1515256978
