I have struggled on whether I should post this internalMercury Memo from 1968. Dick Snyder gaveit to me years ago.I now feel that itshistorical value, in showing that Mercury Hi Performance Products that openedits doors in 1973, should be shown.HiPerformance really had its real roots starting five years prior.
This memo shows how Dick Snyder saw the value of racing andwanted the company to capitalize on it. The names are mostly familiar and were added to, prior to 1973, with thelikes of Jim Merten, Jim Kubasta, Tom Stickle, Richie Powers, Bill Allen andmany more.
